Welcome to my pictures. Photography differs from other art forms where you start with a blank sheet of paper, a blank canvas or empty musical notes. The photographer starts with an actual scene that is already there, and then has to interpret this in his own creative way. My pictures seek to be the result of a creative creation, not a pure depiction. The exposure is the raw material to create the final result. The presentation of pictures on my site is divided into highlighted pictures and pictures that can be linked, loosely or more firmly, to a theme or a series. These pictures are mostly in black and white. In addition, I show color pictures, mainly from Northern Norway, more as a depiction of beautiful nature and beautiful light, than the artistic approach I otherwise seek through black and white photography.
