Photography of natural landscapes shows spaces in the world, sometimes large and infinite, other times small or microscopic. Landscape photography usually captures nature, but can also shine a spotlight on man-made features or disturbances in nature.

Photography of architecture in an urban context is in many ways a time stamp that gives expression to people's cultural, artistic and practical flows over time. Architecture is not static. Its expression is repeated, processed or combined, and new combinations or processed architectural expressions give their stamp on the time they arise. An urban landscape is created.

My aim is to convey the impressions I get when I stand in nature or in an urban environment, either concretely or through abstraction. I often use long exposures that create life in the subject when it is frozen in the image, or it brings out light that is sometimes not visible. I hunt for  the light and the atmosphere and try to convey my impressions through photography.

I have a great interest in Fine Art Photography and minimalism. My main references are, among others, Michael Kenna, Sebastiao Salgado, Yamamoto Masao, and Morten Krogvold.

"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them".
